Titled and signed in pencil verso, with “Printed about early 1950’s, Vintage Print” on recto, with Witt’s Credit stamp, and his Newark address stamp [crossed out.]

The busy street is seen through the optometrist’s window, with various signs and large glasses and eyes. This photograph was included in “Radical Camera: New York’s Photo League, 1930 – 1951” at the Jewish Museum New York, 2011 – 2012. It is in their collection, as well as that of the Metropolitan Museum of Art and other institutions.”  Note that we also have a larger print of this same subject. (613bw.1)
