The German-born Henle (1909 – 1993) was a prolific photographer, specializing in the Rolleiflex. His work should be more widely appreciated.
This vintage ferrotyped gelatin silver print, 9 78 x 7 3/4 – inches, has Henle’s backstamp and is on slightly heavier paper than typical press photographs. It was distributed by a Press Photo Service, and has labels, stamps and notations on the verso.
