Occupational Tintype: Saddlemaker on Stitch Horse, 1/2 plate

Occupational Tintype

The young saddle-maker in his apron sits on his stitch horse. This was a much more important occupation in the 19th century than today. The tintype is 5 x 4- inches. There are some soft bends and a dark scrape near the bottom, but the image is nice and clear.
