Baker (1899-1971) moved to NYC in 1919 to create piano rolls, and star in Broadway shows. She is also known for her performances in Vaudeville Troupes, such as the Ziegfeld Follies.

Johnston was a photographer well known for his images of Ziegfeld Follies showgirls, actresses, and actors from both film and stage.

The verso has a handwritten caption and photographer stamp, as well as a partially visible stamp from the New York Tribune “Graphic Section”.
