One is a winter scene of the S. W. Gould & Bros. Distillery at Hulbarde [?} N. H., showing “Witch Hazel Brush Ready for Manufacture.” Gould, in Malden, Mass, was a major producer of botanicals, started in 1875. Many were based on Indian medicines. Another print shows “Witch Hazel Brush as Drawn from the Woods.” Reflection from the snow makes the central part of the print light. Both prints are clean and undamaged photographs of Americana.
