This giant helium filled airship, based on the Zeppelin, was a marvel of engineering. It was built in 1922-23. In 1925 it crashed in rural Ohio. There are 10 original snapshots showing the wreckage of the Shenandoah. There are many photographs of the site. These seem to have been ‘amateur’ photographs taken by a nearby resident, and so are original and unique.
They have been cut from an album, and each, individually, is still glued to a piece of the black album page.
